About Liam
I studied architecture at Cornell, then spent six years at a leading firm in Chicago working on high-rise residential towers and mixed-use developments. I learned how to build at scale — but I also learned that the best buildings come from understanding the people who will use them. In 2020, I founded Torres Architecture to focus on what I love most: designing homes and workspaces that reflect the personality, values, and daily rhythms of the people inside. Every project starts with deep listening — not a mood board, but real conversations about how you live, how you work, and what makes a space feel like yours. Since then, I've designed over 40 residential and commercial projects across the Mountain West. My work has been featured in Dwell, Architectural Digest, and Dezeen. I'm a licensed architect in Colorado, Montana, and Utah, with LEED AP certification.

New builds, renovations, and additions designed around how you actually live — from mountain retreats to urban infills.
Offices, studios, and retail spaces that boost creativity, productivity, and brand experience from the moment you walk in.
LEED-certified and passive house principles woven into every project — because beautiful design and environmental responsibility aren't mutually exclusive.
Beyond floor plans — spatial flow, material selection, built-in furniture, and lighting design that turn rooms into experiences.
Before committing to construction, I help you explore ideas, test budgets, and understand what's possible on your site and in your market.
I stay with your project from permit to punch list — reviewing contractor work, resolving issues on-site, and ensuring the built result matches the design intent.
From conversation to construction — here's how we bring your vision to life.
We start with a free consultation to understand your vision, lifestyle, site constraints, and budget. Great design starts with great questions.
From concept sketches to detailed drawings, I develop your design through collaborative iterations — sharing 3D renders, material samples, and site visits along the way.
I manage the permit process, coordinate with contractors, and oversee construction to ensure your vision is built exactly as designed.

"Liam designed our mountain home and it's the most beautiful place we've ever lived. He understood how we wanted to feel in every room — and he delivered spaces that surprise us with their beauty every single day."

"Our studio space went from a generic office to an environment that actually makes our team want to come to work. Liam's design boosted our creativity and our culture. Clients are always blown away when they visit."
Camille Fontaine
Founder, Fontaine Collective
"I've worked with Liam on three projects now. His ability to maximize value on complex sites is exceptional. The mountain duplex he designed sold for 20% above comps — buyers couldn't stop talking about the design."
David Nakamura
Real Estate Developer
"We hired Liam for a whole-house renovation and he transformed our 1970s ranch into something that feels completely modern but still warm and livable. He was on-site every week and the contractors loved working with him."
Sofia Reyes
Homeowner, Boulder
"Liam designed our 8,000 sq ft coworking space in Denver. It's the most beautifully designed workspace I've ever been in — members sign up just because of the space. He nailed the balance between open collaboration and private focus."
Ian McAllister
CEO, Alpine Workspace
"We wanted a home that connected indoor and outdoor living. Liam's design uses floor-to-ceiling glass, covered terraces, and sight lines to the mountains that make every room feel infinite. It's a masterpiece."
