Meet the Artist
I got my first tattoo at 17 — a tiny crescent moon behind my ear that my mom still pretends she doesn't know about. That little moon changed everything. I became obsessed with the idea that art could live on a body, move with a person, and mean something different every time they looked at it. I apprenticed for three years under master artists in Brooklyn and Tokyo before opening Slade Ink in Williamsburg. Over the past eight years I've completed 2,000+ custom pieces — from delicate fine line botanicals to full blackwork sleeves and photorealistic color portraits. My studio is a calm, sterile, judgment-free space where your story drives the design. Whether it's your first tattoo or your fortieth, I want you to leave with a piece that feels like it was always supposed to be there.
CUSTOM INK, CRAFTED WITH INTENTION
Real stories from people who trusted me with something permanent.
"Kira designed my entire sleeve from a few reference photos and a conversation about my grandmother's garden. It's the most beautiful thing on my body. I cry every time I look at it."
Maren Finch
Full Sleeve Client
"I had a terrible tattoo from college that I hid for years. Kira turned it into a Japanese-style wave piece that I now show off every chance I get. Absolute artist."
Diego Reyes
Cover-Up Client
"I was so nervous for my first tattoo but Kira made the whole experience feel safe and special. She explained everything, the studio was immaculate, and my fine line piece is perfect."
Sage Holloway
First Tattoo
"Kira designed matching but unique pieces for us — same concept, different expressions. She understood exactly what we wanted. Best anniversary gift ever."
Niko & Alma Chen
Matching Couple's Tattoo
"Kira tattooed my mother's handwriting on my forearm. She was so gentle with the process and the emotion behind it. It means more to me than I can express."
Rhea Kapoor
Memorial Tattoo
"I took Kira's online course and it completely changed how I approach tattoo design. Her breakdowns of composition and flow are next level. Now my flash sheets actually sell."
